HIP HOP DANCE WORKSHOP @ IBARAKI

お久しぶりです！東京からyuiです。
It's been a long time! This is yui from Tokyo.

日本は年度末、いよいよ忙しくなってきました。。
ブログから遠ざかっていたのもそのせいだとか、違うとか･･･!?
As the end of the fiscal year is coming, we're getting busier day by day.
Do you think this is why I've been quiet for a while? Might be true.. :P

カイロでは知的好奇心を刺激するイベントがたくさんあったみたいですね！

Akiさんの記事ではアタマを使うイベントを紹介してもらったので、
わたしからは、カラダを使うイベントのご紹介です！
わたしが担当させてもらった、茨城県常総市でのワークショップのプチ報告です。
Cairo had so many intellectually stimulating events according to Aki's article. Aki introduced events for brains, so I'll show you an event for bodies.
This is a short report on a workshop held in Ibaraki.

国際交流基金では、これまで新宿区大久保地区を中心に、
日本に住んでいるけれども、異文化をバックグラウンドにもつ子どもたちを対象とした
アート･ワークショップを行ってきました。
The Japan Foundation has provided a variety of art workshops for children with culturally diversified backgrounds in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

アートを通して、地域とのつながりを深めたり、ものごとをやり遂げる達成感を感じたり、
いろいろな世界に触れたりする機会を提供していくこと、
そして、日本を好きになってもらい、将来国際人として日本と母国の架け橋になってもらうこと、
を目的に映像、写真などさまざまな手法をつかったワークショップを展開しています。
We organize such workshops in use of films, photos and others to help the children deepen their relationships with communities, get confident through the experience of art work production, get new visions of the world, get more attached to Japan and become a cultural bridge and catalyst between Japan and their mother countries.

茨城県常総市は静岡県浜松市や愛知県豊田市のように、
外国籍の方々がたくさん暮らし、働いている地域のひとつです。
今回は、そんな常総市にあるブラジル人学校、エスコーラ･エ･クレシェ･ド･グルーポ･オピソンにお邪魔し、プロのダンサーさんを先生にダンス・ワークショップを開催しました。
Joso City in Ibaraki is an area which has a lot of foreign residents, just same as Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka and Toyota City in Aichi.
We visited a Brazilian school, Escola e Creche Grupo Opção, with professional dancers to hold a dance workshop.

今回、講師をしてくださったのは、

のお二人です。

お二人とも有名なダンサーさんなのに、とても気さくで素敵な方たちです！
子どもたちともすぐに仲良くなっていました。
Both of them are well-known dancers, but are very friendly and fun!
They got chummy with children in only a few minutes.

参加した子どもたちは全部で20名くらい。
小学生から高校生まで、みんなこの学校の生徒たちです。
ダンスが好きでときどき学校に集まっては練習しているという、
去年卒業したばかりの男の子たちも参加してくれました。
About 20 children from this school joined the workshop. They were all former students of the school, ranging from elementary-school to high-school students.
Some boys loving dance joined the event, who just graduated last year and still get together at the school for dance practice.

経験者も、初心者もみんな楽しそうに踊っていて、見ているこちらもハッピーになりました。
小学校低学年の男の子は、先生のふりとは違っていてもとにかく楽しそうに暴れていてかわいかったですねぇ。。
Both of the experienced and non-experienced were dancing with smile, which made me happy.
Boys in the first or second grade were playing around cheerfully though they're doing differently from the dance instructors. But they were so cute!

なにはともあれ、ダンスは感じるものですので、
ことばで説明するよりも写真をみていただこうと思います！
Anyway, dancing is feeling! So I’ll stop my explanation here, and show you some photos instead.
